Radisson to open Rs 150 crore luxury Spa

Mumbai, Apr 17: A Rs 150 crore Resort and Spa of Carlson Hotels, owner of Radisson chain of hotels, will open on May 15. Developed by Pune-based Sahil Group over 16 acres and managed by Carlson, the Rs 150 crore resort will be located 18 kms away from the Alibaug jetty.

The resort, which will have 144 villas and suites, will be spread over 20,000 sq ft. The resort will also have special space for M I C E (Meetings, Interviews, Conferences, Exhibitions), a 24-hour coffee shop and a discotheque. ''We are emphasizing on wellness and spa and are targeting the corporate and international traveller. We believe that there are no other services of our level in the vicinity of Mumbai,'' RHW Hotel Management Services ED K B Kachru said. RHW Hotel will be managing the resort.

''This is the market, we always wanted to tap, and with increase in spending power, the wellness and spa market is bound to grow,'' M Spa senior Product Manager Sireethorn Karasudhi said.

''Prices for the services will start from USD 120-140, but with the type of clientele we are targeting, experience and satisfaction will be the main criteria, not price,'' Mr Karasudhi added.
