Putin to wed Olympic gymnast half his age: report
London, Apr 17 (UNI) It seems a wedding season for Presidents across the world. Now it's Russian President Vladimr Putin tying the knot with Olympic gymnast who is less than half his age.
Report claims that Mr Putin, 56, is about to tie the knot with the 24-year-old gymnast Alina Kabaeva.
The Telegraph quoted the Russian newspaper Moskovski Korrespondent as saying that the couple are to marry in mid-June, more than a month after he steps down as Russian president. The pair had also been seen kissing in a Moscow restaurant, a website claimed.
Born in 1983 in Tashkent, Ms Kabaeva has clinched several medals and represented Russia at the Sydney and Athens Olympic Games.
The report said, as a model she has posed for daring photographs and appeared in an action film as well.
However, Mr Putin has not officially announced any separation from his 50-year-old wife, Ludmilla. But a former KGB spy has reported that they had split two months ago.
Despite frantic rumours of a wedding, apparently to take place on June 15, the Kremlin has so far refused to comment.
