Plane develops Technical snag in landing; Passengers safe

Bhubaneswar, Apr 17 (UNI) An Alliance Air on Delhi-Ranchi-Bhubaneswar Delhi route developed a Technical snag during landing at the Biju Patnaik airport tonight.

Airport sources said all the 22 passengers on board the aircraft were safe as the plane from Ranchi had an emergency landing at 2040 hours soon after it developed a technical snag.

later the passengers were offloaded and the airport engineers rushed to the aircraft to check the problem. Sources said smoke emerged from the aircraft while it was about to land at the airport The pilot was informed about the incident by the control tower and later instructed to have an emergency landing.

The aircraft is likely to leave for Delhi tonight after necessary check up, airport sources said.
