Lahore, Apr 17 : Human Rights Commission of Pakistan Chairperson Asma Jehangir has said that the civil society's struggle would continue until President Pervez Musharraf is ousted.

Speaking at a seminar titled 'Go Musharraf Go', Jehangir said it was Musharraf who promoted the 'Muk Mukaa' (reconciliation) and fascist cultures in the country.

"Musharraf is a friend of dictators and backed by dictators," The News quoted her, as saying.

Jehangir blamed Musharraf for the violation of law, launching a military operation in Balochistan, rise in poverty, torture on media and gas crisis.

She went on to say that the civil society had to take a stand that anyone who had committed crimes - whether in the name of religion or politics - be punished for his deeds.
