Night curfew lifted in Manipur

Imphal, Apr 17: The state government has lifted the dusk-to-dawn curfew imposed in Manipur since March 17.

Official sources said here today that night curfew had been clamped in the valley districts from March 17 after 15 non-Manipuri migrant workers were killed by unidentified miscreants in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal and Bishenpur districts.

The government lifted the 2100 hours to 0500 hours curfew last night following restoration of normality and the labourers resuming their work in the state.
