Monazir Hassan resigns from JD(U) state vice-president post
Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) The simmering discontent in both the JD(U) and BJP came to the front with former Building constructon minister Monazir Hassan, who was dropped from the ministry, resigned from the post of the state JD(U) vice-president today.
Attributing the plight and deplorable condition of the Muslims as the reason for his resignation told newspersons here that no government has ever taken any step for the community's uplift.
He said after resigning from the post of the JD(U) vice-president he would be free from the responsibilties of the party and would be able to concentrate more on the development of the community.
Exasperated with the political move for dividing the minorities in backward and upper classes, he said ensuring the unity of the communmity would be his mission.
Mr Hassan said he would also fight for providing reservation to the dalits and backward muslims in government services to bring them in them into the mainstream.
Mr Hassan was dropped from the ministry during cabinet expansion of Nitish Kumar goverment of April 13 and was given responsibility of the JD(U) state vice-president.
