Metallic idols worth Rs one crore recovered in Bihar
Patna, Apr 17 (UNI) In a major success, Police here today arrested three smugglers and recovered metallic (Ashtadhatu) idols worth Rs one crore.
Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar here said acting on a tip-off, sleuths of local police raided a hideout under Gandhi Maidan police station area and arrested the smugglers and seized the ancient idols from their possession.
The idols, weighing 12 kg each, replicate Lord Rama and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Mr Kumar said, adding that interrogation was on in the matter.
