Jindal Power Ltd's second unit starts generating power
New Delhi, Apr 17 (UNI) Jindal Steel and Power Ltd today said its subsidiary's second unit of 250 MW capacity has started generating power for commercial purposes.
''Other two units of Jindal Power Ltd's, with capacity of 250 MW each, are in the final stage of implementation and the project (1000 MW) is likely to be operational by August,'' the company said a statement.
The laying down of 400 KVA transmission line, from the power plant of Jindal Power Ltd up to sub-station of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd at Raipur in Chhattisgarh, has also been completed, it added.
The line will facilitate transmission of power from this plant to various users in the country.
