Haryana to give uninterrupted power for wheat thrashing

Chandigarh, Apr 17 (UNI) In order to ensure uninterrupted power supply for thrashing of wheat, the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has revised the power regulatory measures with immediate effect.

Instructions have been given to field officers to supply fault-free power so as to avoid any inconvenience to farmers during the thrashing operation.

Stating this here today, a spokesman for the Nigam said the electricity supply would be restricted to industrial and independent industrial feeders from 0500 hrs to 0700 hrs and 1900 hrs to 2230 hrs.

However, 10 per cent of normal load would be given for lighting purpose. During this period the HT industrial consumers would observe peak load restrictions, he added.
