Ex-Councillor kills his wife
Kolhapur, Apr 17 (UNI) An ex-councillor of Kurundwad Municipal Corporation allegedly killed his wife for dowry at Kurundwad in Shirol tehsil of this district.
The deceased, Sushma Arun Dange (36), was working as a teacher in ''Ashramshala'' at village Terwad, police said today.
The accused, Arun Appasaheb Mane, who is absconding after committing the crime yesterday, had demanded Rs five lakh as dowry from Sushma's father, Vilasrao Mane.
Vilasrao stated in his complaint that Mane killed Sushma as he could not meet his demand for dowry.
