3 gangsters killed in police encounter

Noida, Apr 16 (UNI) Three alleged criminals were killed in an encounter with the police here late tonight.

Acting on a tip-off, the police reached the Express Highway near sector 39 where they tried to stop the car in which the trio were travelling. The gangsters opened fire which was retaliated by the police and in the encounter the three were killed, police said.

Those killed have been identified as Sanjay, Jaheer and Birju Pahari. They were also involved in cases of roberry and car theft, police added.
