10 Kg smack seized from Mumbai Based girl

Amritsar, Apr 17 (UNI) The Special Narcotics Cell of the Punjab police seized 10 Kg smack from a Mumbai Based girl in a Posh Hotel room in the City here this evening.

Police sources said that a Narcotics Cell team led by Sub Inspector Jasvir Singh raided the Hotel and took into custody a 20-year-old girl identified as Priyanka Dass on search of her Hotel room a packet containing 10 Kg smack was recovered.

Sources said that this was the single largest seizure of smack in Punjab.

Preliminary interrogation of the girl revealed that she had connections with a Nigerian drug smuggler who is currently under detention in a Mumbai jail. The police did not disclosed any further details. The girl was later arrested under NDPS Act and produced before a Judicial Magistrate. She has been remanded in police custody.
