Woman attacks woman for having illicit relation with her husband

Gulbarga, Apr 16 (UNI) The acid attack on a woman yesterday took an interesting turn with the police investigation revealing involvement of another woman behind the heinous crime.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural) C K Baba told UNI today that Jayashri allegedly had an illicit relationship with a Teacher, who is running a school in Jewargi, about 40 km from here.

The victim Akkamma, who had admitted her children in the school, started moving closely with the Teacher. Enraged over this Jayashri hired a criminal to pour acid.

The victim went to school to pickup her children when an unidentified culprit, covering his face, poured acid on her. She was treated at the Basaweswara Teaching Hospital for 30 per cent burns.

Mr Baba said that the culprits would be arrested soon as there are definite clues.
