Reliance Petroleum refinery 90% complete

New Delhi, Apr 16 (UNI) Reliance Petroleum Ltd (RPL) today said by March 31, it has completed 90 per cent of its complex refinery, which is being set up at Jamnagar SEZ.

''The RPL has spent Rs 23,319 crore on the project up to end-March, and is on course to complete the refinery ahead of its initial target of December 2008,'' a company statement said.

During the quarter, RPL has completed the engineering, procurement and contracting activities, and is nearing completion of equipment deliveries and rapid progress on equipment installations at site, the statement added.

Reliance Petroleum, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd, runs a 6,60,000 BPD refinery next to the new project in Jamnagar, Gujarat.
