CPI(Maoists) bandh fails to evoke response in Orissa
Bhubaneswar, Apr 16 (UNI) The CPI (Maoists)-sponsered 24-hour bandh since midnight last night virtually left no impact on Orissa today.
Schools, colleges, offices and commercial establishments remained opened and business was conducted as usual. Vehicles were plying normal.
The bandh also had no impact in the Naxal-affected areas of the state.
The bandh has been called in five states namely West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Chhattisgarh by CPI (Maoists) to protest the killing of their cadres in police encounter in Garwah district on April 1.
