By-polls to Thane LS constituency to be held on May 22
Thane, Apr 16 (UNI) By-polls to the Thane Lok Sabha constituency will be held on May 22, district collector S S Zende said here today.
Mr Zende said the notification for the polls had been published by the Election Commission and the model code of conduct has come into effect from today itself.
He said according to the schedule, the filing of nominations will commence from April 28.
The counting of votes and declaration of results have been scheduled for May 25, he informed.
