Asia Pacific Breweries launches 'Tiger beer'

Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) Asia Pacific Breweries Aurangabad Limited, a subsidiary of Asia Pacific Breweries Limited (APB), today announced the launch of 'Tiger beer' and said it is looking forward to set up a brewery in the northern part of the country.

'Tiger beer', a premium flagship brand of APB, will be brewed in the breweries located in Aurangabad and Hyderabad, APB south Asia regional director Vivek Chhabra told newsmen here today.

He said the company is looking for setting up a brewery in the northern part of the country, preferably in Punjab or Haryana.

''We will soon launch this premium brand in Delhi and later it will be launched across the country. At present, we have a production capacity of five lakh aqua hecto litre per annum, and it will be marketed in west and south Indian states,'' Mr Chhabra said.

The Company has made an investment of USD 20 million in setting up the breweries and the ingredients including malt, hops and yeast used in beer brewing is being imported from US and Europe to maintain the premium quality of the product, Mr Chhabra said.
