Zee Entertainment Q4 net up 34.17 pc to Rs 79.46 cr

New Delhi, Apr 15: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd today said its net profit increased 34.17 per cent for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 79.46 crore compared to Rs 59.22 crore in the same quarter last year.

Its total income has increased 57.60 per cent to 341.3 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 compared to Rs 216.56 crore in the same quarter last fiscal. For the year ended March 31, 2008 net profit increased 77.43 per cent to Rs 294.92 crore for FY08 compared to Rs 166.21 crore last fiscal. Its total income has increased 22.69 per cent to Rs 1,139.98 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 929.13 crore last fiscal.

On the consolidated front, the group posted a net profit of Rs 104.42 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 69.92 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Its total revenue has increased to Rs 569.48 crore for Q4FY08 from Rs 402.05 crore in the same quarter last year.

The consolidated results for the year ended March 31, 2008 showed a net profit of Rs 396.25 crore compared to Rs 243.33 last fiscal.

Total Revenue has increased to Rs 1,945.38 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 from Rs 1,521.16 crore last fiscal.
