Pakistan against politicisation of Olympics

Islamabad, Apr 15th 2008 : Pakistan, a close ally of China, on April 14 expressed opposition to politicisation of the Beijing Olympics and said it did not foresee any trouble when the torch relay comes to Islamabad this week.

The torch, touring the world ahead of the games in Beijing in August, has drawn protests in several countries over China's policies, in particular its crackdown last month on unrest in Tibet. The torch will arrive in Islamabad on April 16.
