Two fair price shop dealers suspended
Machilipatnam, Apr 15 (UNI) Krishna district Joint Collector G Ram Narayana Reddy today suspended two fair price shop dealers for alleged irregularities in the distribution of Rs two per kg rice scheme, launched by the Andhra Pradesh government on April nine.
According to an official release, the dealers G Suresh of Pollukonda village and G Raju of Hanumantulapadu village were suspended after conducting raids on the ration shops by Vigilance department officials.
From Hanumantulapadu ration depot, two quintals of rice and from Pollukonda ration depot 126 quintals of rice had been seized, the release said.
Mr Reddy warned that strict actions would be taken against those dealers who indulge in any malpractices in distributing the Rs two kg rice scheme.
