TDP threatens stir against Babli project
Hyderabad, Apl 15 (UNI) The main Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh today warned of massive stirs against the alleged ''illegal'' construction of Babli and ten other projects by the upper riparian state of Maharashtra.
Addressing a press conference here, TDP Legislature Party Secretary E Dayakar Rao, who had visited the neighbouring state to ascertain the facts, charged the Vilasrao Deshmukh Government was going ahead with these ''illegal'' projects.
Showing video clippings of the construction activity, he alleged the Congress which was in power in Andhra Pradesh as also at the Centre and Maharashtra, was doing nothing to stop these projects which would turn the Sriramsagar project area barren in the future.
