Rajya Sabha adjourned on price hike issue

New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) The Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 1200 hrs following pandemonium over the issue of price rise raised by the Opposition members.

As soon as the newly elected members of the House were administered the oath of affirmation, the Members belonging to NDA, Left Parties and UNPA, vociferously raised the issue of price rise, stalling the proceedings of the House.

When the members ignored the repeated pleas by the Chairman Hamid Ansari, he adjourned the House till noon.
