Pakistan, Turkish air forces to conduct joint drills

Islamabad, Apr 15: Pakistan and Turkish air forces will conduct a joint exercise code named 'Indus Viper-2008' later this month in Pakistan. According to an official release, the PAF and TuAF would conduct a joint exercise to benefit from the expertise and professional experiences of each other.

The statement, which did not give specific dates and duration of the exercise, said a contingent of TuAF fighter aircraft and personnel would undertake joint planning and execution of various combat missions with the PAF. It hoped the drills would benefit the airforces of both the countries and further strengthen relations between them. It said Pakistan and Turkey had a long history of military cooperation and had been successfully conducting joint exercises for decades.
