Kadam tables privilege motion against Rane
Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) Leader of the opposition Ramdas Kadam today tabled a privilege motion in the Maharashtra assembly against revenue minister Narayan Rane for his 'comments' on the extension of the legislature session.
Mr Kadam, in his statement, said it had been decided in the business advisory committee to extend the session upto April 25 and against this backdrop Mr Rane's alleged statement, that hardly any business remained and there was no need to extend the session, was not in the right spirit.
Mr Rane had also said that Shiv Sena was unnecessarily targetting him and alleged that the session was extended 'just' to target him.
Speaker Babasaheb Kupekar said he would look into the privilege motion.
