IGNOU to launch two new Dental courses
New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) The Indira Gandhi National Open University in collaboration with the Dental Council of India will launch two PG Certificate programmes in Endodontics and Oral Implantology.
Each programme is of one year duration but students will have the flexibility to complete the programme in maximum period of three years. Both the programmes have been accredited by the DCI.
Since, these programmes are through open and distance learning education mode, one would not have to leave their published practices/work places except for the contact programmes, an official said. There is no age bar and even fresh graduates can apply, he added.
Programme Study Centres have been established in reputed dental colleges, which are already running MDS Programmes in respective discipline for providing the practical training for these course.
The prospectus along with the application form can be obtained from IGNOU Regional Centres as well as can be downloaded from IGNOU website: www.ignou.ac.in. The last date for submission of admission form to the Registrar (SR&E) is May 10.
The combined entrance examination for the admission to the programmes will be held on June 1.
