Give Bodsara Bada to Satnami community: Jogi
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Apr 15 (UNI) Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi today demanded that the government acquire 'Bodsara Bada' located in this district and hand it over to the Satnami community.
''Bodsara Bada is a place of worship of Satnami community. Either a permanent solution should be found with mutual dialogue or compulsory acquisition should be done. The previous Congress government had started the process of acquisition,'' Mr Jogi told reporters here.
Bodsara Bada is a private property of a Brahmin family. The Chhattisgarh High Court has directed to maintain law and order in the area on a petition by the family.
Curfew had been imposed in Bodsara village after members of Satnami community attempted to hoist flag and offer worship at the site on Saturday but were stopped by the police resulting in a clash. It was lifted last night.
