CPI(ML) country wide protest on inflation begins
Lucknow, Apr 15 (UNI) The Communist Party of India (Marxist Lenninist) today starting a two week country-wide protest on rising inflation staged demonstration across Uttar Pradesh.
''The CPI(ML) will observe Labour Day on May 1 as 'anti-inflation day' to intensify the agitation,'' party sources here said.
Holding the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre responsible for the increasing inflation, the CPI (ML) charged ''the former is defending self in the matter.'' ''All the claims of the government for controlling the shooting prices of commodities are seeming effortless,'' the party maintained.
They further demanded that 25 essential commodities should be included in the Public Distribution System (PDS) and profiteers and black marketeers should be checked.
