Mumbai, Apr 15: Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today informed the state assembly that the Chief Secretary has been appointed to look into allegations of sale of a plot at Bandra to MIG club, which is being claimed by Maharashtra Housing Area Development Authority (MHADA) and Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC).

Replying to a question by Bala Nandgaonkar (Shiv Sena), Mr Deshmukh said he would look into the claims of BMC over the plot and questioned the rights of MHADA to sell the same.

He said he will look into all the issues related to its sale, will take details from the club, corporation and MHADA and submit a report within a month.

The plot was valued at Rs 11 crore, but was sold to the club at Rs 1.18 crore by the MHADA. However, BMC is maintaining that MHADA does not have the right to sell the same.
