Centre sanctioned Rs 484.58 lakh for development of Wagah Border
New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) The Centre has sanctioned Rs 484.58 lakh to the Punjab Government for ''Integrated Development of Wagah-Attari Border'' as a tourist destination.
In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, Tourism Minister Ambika Soni said the components of the project include development of tourist facilities and upgrade of surroundings of the Wagah-Attari border.
''Construction of Aman Umeed Bhawan and development of Rajasansi village carpet weaver complex and others also forms part of the project development,'' she added.
