Builders booked in cheating case in Noida

Noida, Apr 15 (UNI) Police have booked the owners of a leading real estate company on charges of cheating.

Gautam Budhnagar district Superintendent of Police (Rural) Avdhesh Kumar Vijeta said one Adarsh Malik of Greater Kailash area had allegedly bought some plots in Knowledge Park III here from the owners of Omax Limited -- Rohtash Goyal, Sunil Goyal and Rakesh Garg, that they claimed to be on their name.

For the same, Rs 96 lakh in cash was also given to them on July 15, 2005, and the whole deal was done for a little more than Rs 17 crore, he added.

He has now filed a complaint against the owners, alleging that the plots were not on their name and they had grabbed them fraudulently.

He said according to the complaint, despite getting the amount, the company owners did not signed the 40 acres of land meant for IT Sector, in name of Mr Malik's wife, adding that the company did the deal fraudulently.

The SP said on the basis of the complaint, the company owners have been booked on charges of cheating and punishable conspiracy, along with other charges, and search operation has been launched to find them.
