Arti Mehra, Razia Sultana, two others file papers for Mayor poll
New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Two BJP leaders -- incumbent Delhi Mayor Arti Mehra and Mr Jagdish Mamgain and Congress leader Razia Sultana today filed their nomination papers for the upcoming Mayor's election.
BSP's Sanjay also filed his papers for the post of the Mayor.
Mr Divya Jaiswal, Mr Dharamvir Singh, both BJP and Mr Tulsi Ram Sablania, Congress, filed their papers for the post of Deputy Mayor.
Mr Vijender Kumar Gupta, Ms Rajni Abbi and Mr Harish Awasthi, all BJP and Mr Jai Kishan Sharma and Chaudhary Ajit Singh of the Congress filed their papers to be nominated by the Corporation as members of the Standing Committee.
Various Ward committee members also filed their papers for nomination as Chairmen and Deputy Chairmen of their Committees and as members of the Standing Committee.
Mr Subhash Arya, Leader of the House and other senior Municipal Councillors were also present on this occasion. Today was the last day for filing of papers for the April 21 elections.
