Ram Navami celebrated with religious fervour in Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 14 (UNI) For the first time after about two decades, a Ram Navami procession was taken out in the old city this afternoon.

A large number of Pandits, who had come from different parts of the valley, joined the procession, raising religious slogans.

This was for the first time after eruption of militancy, a religious procession on the occasion of Ram Navami, birthday of Lord Rama, was organised in the city.

The processionists who went through different streets in the old city were greeted by their Muslim brethren who had lined up on both sides of the roads.
