Prayers, devotional songs mark Ram Navami in Delhi
New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) Thousands of devotees thronged various temples across the city this evening, on the occasion of Ram Navami, which marks the birthday of Lord Ram.
Hordes of devotees gathered in temples today on the occasion of Ram Navmi, which also marks the culmination of the nine-day Navratra festival.
Though devotees began thronging temples across the city since morning, the evening saw them gather in huge numbers at the temples, which were bedecked for the occasion.
A huge crowd of devotes were also observed at the Akshardham Temple in East Delhi. 'Ram Navami' marks the birth of Lord Ram and is one of the most important festivals of the Vaishnava sect of Hindus.
Special prayers were also organised on the occasion in temples.
