Police Sub-inspector shot dead in 'Taj city'
Agra, Apr 14 (UNI) A police sub-inspector was shot dead by three armed assailants in Mantola area, here this evening.
The incident occured, when Manpuri Barnala Thana in-charge B L Kushwaha, who was on a special duty on the eve of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati's visit here tomorrow, was waylaid by three men who tried to snatch his service revolver.
On resisting, the criminals shot the policeman, killing him on the spot, police said.
One of the criminals had been arrested and search was on to nab the other two.
