Couple arrested with fake passports

Chennai, Apr 14 (UNI) A young couple, posing as husband and wife, were arrested with fake passports when they were about to board a Toronto-bound Jet Airways flight at the Anna international airport here, early today.

Airport sources said the immigration officials found that the passports and visas of Mani Prakash (35) and Jig Nisha Patel (22) were fake.

Investigations revealed that they were not husband and wife, but had acted so as per a Mumbai travel agent's advice that married couples were not questioned much by the immigration officials. They were flying to Toronto in search of greener pastures.

The Airport police arrested them and handed them over to the City Crime Branch police for further investigation.
