Century 21 to open 1,000 franchisees by 2013

New Delhi, Apr 14 (UNI) US-based real estate major Century 21 today said it plans to open 1,000 franchise in the country over the next five years.

''We plan to open a nationwide network of 1,000 franchise over the next five years,''Century 21 Greater India Executive Director Vic Vishwanath said.

The company has 14,000 sales agents in 58 countries like Canada, China, France and South Africa.

Century 21 Greater India, the Indian subsidiary, has already set up five offices in the NCR and plans to open offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Goa, Chandigarh and Chennai, Mr Vishwanath said.

Century 21 has also collaborated with leading developers like Unitech, DLF, Sahara and Omaxe to provide real estate options.

''We want to provide transparent deals and bring in good practices in the real estate segment,'' Mr Vishwanath said.

The brokerage firm will deal in IT Parks, leasing, retail space along with residential and industrial properties, he added.

It also expects to partner banks for providing loans to its customers. ''The interest rates have been the limiting factor for the industry but it is now undergoing correction,'' Mr Vishwanath said.
