BSF jawan killed in road mishap

Lucknow, Apr 14 (UNI) A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed and three others, including a Deputy Commandant, seriously injured in a jeep-truck collision at Kamrauli area in Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident occurred when Deputy Commandant Vinod Adhikari, who was on duty here during the by-polls, was returning to Rajasthan.

The truck driver fled the scene.

BSF jawan Sumen Chaudhary succumbed on the spot, whereas Mr Adhikari, driver Ananad Singh and jawan Kuldeep Singh had been admitted to the Lucknow Trauma Centre.

A case had been registered and manhunt was launched.
