Two arrested with 15 kg charas in HP
Chamba, Apr 13 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police today said it had arrested two people and seized about 15 kg charas from their possession in the remote Churah area of Chamba district in the state, police said.
Following a tip-off, the police had set-up a check post at Talota area of Churah sub division and seized 15 kg charas from a truck being driven by a Hemant Prakash accompanied by another person identifid as Dharam Chand.
The police said it was, however, not clear immediately where the consignment was headed to and from where it originated and added that the two are being interrogated.
Chamba SP R S Negi said the consignment was seized following strict policing by it during the last few days.
The police would intensify its campaign against smuggling of drugs in the district during the next few days, Mr Negi added.
