Shyam Telelink receives additional spectrum for 9 circles
New Delhi, Apr 13 (UNI) Shyam Telelink, which provides both fixed-line and mobile telecom sevices in Rajasthan, said it has received an additional spectrum for nine more circles.
''We have received CDMA spectrum for Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West), Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Haryana,'' Shyam Telecom Group Chairman and Managing Director Rajiv Mehrotra said.
In September last year, Russian telecom giant Sistema acquired a 10 per cent stake for about 11.4 million dollars in Shyan Telelink.
With the additional radio frequency of five MHz, the company can operate in 13 circles.
The new telecome player, a part of the Shyam Group, had earlier got a start-up spectrum of 2.5 MHz for three circle, which included six states of North-East, Assam and Jammu and Kashmir.
