MK Nepal says it would be inappropriate to continue in govt
Kathmandu, Apr 13 : Communist Party o Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal on Sunday said that it will now be morally inappropriate to continue in the government.
"We have concluded that it is morally inappropriate to continue in the government. The decision will soon be taken by the party central committee on this issue," Nepal told a press conference held at party's headquarters in Balkhu.
"Being the general secretary, I am the one most responsible for the party's victory or defeat," said Nepal.
"The party had expected that it would win enough seats to be in leadership position," he said, expressing surprise over the results.
"One election is the not the end of the road. We will come back," nepalnews.com quoted him, as saying.
When asked if UML's decision not to forge electoral alliance with the Maoists had backfired, Nepal said the issue would be minutely analysed once election results from across the country are available.
