Three cops arrested for raping minor

Ludhiana, Apr 12 (UNI) The Punjab police authorities today arrested the three police men who were allegedly involved in the rape of a minor girl in the Rakh Bagh locality of the city last night.

Disclosing this at a media conference here today, SSP R K Jaiswal said that the three police men were arrested this morning and their services were subsequently terminated. The three were identified as ASI Inderjeet Singh and two fourth class employees Gurmit Singh and Hari Ram, both of whom were posted in the police lines.

The rape case was registered late last night after the residents of the locality held a demonstration outside the residence of the deputy commissioner which was not very far from the site of the crime.
