17-year-old girl murdered in Kolhapur Dist

Kolhapur, Apr 11 (UNI) A 17-year-old girl was murdered by three unidentified youths at village Bhogolee in Chandgad tehsil of the district.

Police have identified the girl as Dhondutai Ramu Gavade, a resident of Dhangarwada in Kanjirne village.

Dhondutai went to a small nullah near the village to wash the clothes yesterday afternoon. Spotting her alone, the three youths allegedly raped her and strangled her. Later, they dumped her body, which was recovered today, police said.

Whether the victim was raped or not will be known only after the medical reports become available, police said, adding, no arrests have been made so far.
