Weavers to be awarded with Kanshiram award

Lucknow, Apr 11 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has decided to implement 'Kanshiram state handloom award' yojana for weavers from this financial year.

An official spokerperson here today said the weavers would be honoured with the award in appreciation for their work.

The first awardee would receive Rs 25,000, the second place awardee would get Rs 21,000, while the third winner would get Rs 18,000.

In range-levels, the award amount would vary from Rs 10,000 to Rs 6,000, sources informed.
