Red sanders worth Rs 10 lakh seized
Chittoor, Apr 11 (UNI) Forest officials today seized smuggled red sanders worth Rs ten lakh, which was being transported in a lorry, from a check post at Sambasenumitta near Palamaneru in this distict today.
According to forest officials, the sandalwood was transporting in water melon-loaded lorry.
The lorry was proceeding to Tamil Nadu from Kalakada in Kalikiri mandal of the district.
The lorry driver and cleaner absconded, officials said.
