Rape accused station officer surrenders

Pratapgarh, Apr 11 (UNI) A suspended station officer,accused of rape, today surrendered before a local court here.

Manoj Rai was accused of assaulting a 14-yr-old girl at village Bhatpurva in Raniganj colony.

A case was registered in this regard in January last year.

The SO was absconding since then and the court had ordered to attach his property.

Police had also announced a reward of Rs 2,500 on his head.
