KMC deputy engineer manhandled in Kolhapur

Kolhapur, Apr 11 (UNI) Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) deputy engineer M M Nirmale was today allegedly manhandled by a group of minority community in his office at Rajarampuri here.

A team, led by Mr Nirmale, had yesterday demolished an illegally- constructed 'madarasa' school building in the city's Kananagar area.

A group of youths today went to Mr Nirmale's office to register their protest, where they manhandled him.

As ths news spread, the KMC workers resorted to work bandh agitation, demanding action against the culprits involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, the people belonging to minority community gathered at Bindu chowk and registered their protest against the action of KMC.
