Govt will not change recruitment rules for teachers:Minister
Puducherry,Apr 11(UNI) The Puducherry administration will not change the recruitment rules for teachers, Education Minister M O H F Shajahan told the legislative assembly today.
Replying to a question, Mr Shajahan said the present system of appointment on merit was proceeding smoothly. Leader of the Opposition A M H Nazeem pointed out that the system is good one, but a section of those studied B.ed was being affected.
Mr Shajahan, however, replied that for those who secured low marks, a grace mark of 1.5 was provided.
Intervening Mr Shajahan, Chief Minister N Rangasamy said the Government could not provide employment to all.
The B.Ed students were covered with the grace mark of 1.5 per year, he said adding that Puducherry was now providing quality education.
