Funds allotted for water transportation in MP
Bhopal, Apr 11 (UNI) With 39 of the total 48 districts in Madhya Pradesh facing severe drought due to scarce rains, the state government has allotted funds to each district for transportation of potable water in problem areas.
The government has directed the District Collectors to use the fund in such areas where all drinking water sources had dried up, official sources said today, adding Rs 2.51 crore had been allotted in the first phase.
Of this, 19 districts have been provided Rs 10 lakh each, Rs 5 lakh each to four districts and Rs two lakh each to 19 districts.
