Ford India launches mobile workshop

Kochi, Apr 11: To provide 'stress-free' vehicle ownership and motoring experience to customers, Ford India had announced the launch of 24x7 'Ford Service Roadside Assistance' here.

The offer would be free for two years for those customers who bought Ford vehicles after April one, and other Ford owners would have to pay Rs 1,100 to avail the service. Company Product Marketing General Manager P K Umashankar said the programme would comprise a fleet of two types of vehicles - flat bed trucks and motorcycles, for emergency response, to provide quick services to the customers.

Mr Umashankar said it was introduced in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune in the first phase and had been extended to Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Kochi in the second phase.
