Death sentence to Amalraj
Kochi, Apr 11 (UNI) A lower court here today sentenced to death one Amalraj, the first accused in the advocate M P Abraham murder case and sentenced to life two others.
Principal Sessions Judge, Ernakulam, D Pappachan, also sentenced the second and third accused Rajesh and Shaimon, repectively, to life imprisonment.
Mr Abraham, a senior advocate of the Kerala High Court, was murdered by the convicts on July 12, 2007, in his office at Kochi.
Amalraj, an employee at Abraham's office, had been embezzling money from the advocate's account by using forged cheques. When the advocate detected the crime and confronted him, Amalraj plotted the murder alongwith the other two accused.
The lawyer was strangled and stabbed to death in his office.
